Beginner Tips On Guitar Strumming

.

Here’s a guitar lesson for beginners on guitar strumming.

One of the most common things that I’ve heard from you fine folk is you’re having difficulties getting strumming down properly. In this lesson on guitar strumming, we’ll cover a very simple rhythm that you can use to practice your strumming, however I also talk about things like how to hold your pick, and a very important one… which strings to play.

As always, leave a comment below the video and tell me what you think about it.

Johnathan, I’m still checking out the previous tips sent to me. I haven’t had time to review them all because of the holidays and such. And still some of them require some practice, at least for me. But I am saving them in my folder to check out whn I have more time. So please keep sending them. Hope you had a great Christmas.

    Hi Jonathon,

One great tip you said was strumming open strings with the right hand while changing chords with the left. I’ve been struggling with chord transitions, and can’t wait to try your tip on my next session.

Yo Jon! You are a very good teacher. I just started taking lessons and you explain things better. I was told to learn on an electric, is that right? Wish you gave lessons in Philly!

Hi Ed, haha I’m a little ways away from Philly! You can learn guitar on anything, but its true that electric is probably a bit easier. Takes less finger strength, which is a good thing when you’re starting out.

Sarebbe interessante proseguire con altre lezioni di guitar strumming, progressivamente più impegnative, per approfondire questo argomento.

    Grazie!
